The coner lights on my 97 Accord were kinda like that. A few tip ties fixed that up right tho.

Wire harnesses have retention clips and the terminations are really well reinforced and weather proofed, so yeah, unless it cuts through a wire, it will work fine.

Man if that was the U.K. the police would of had the driver charged with numerous offences and would be banned from driving it any further and have the vehicle towed home.
Some people don't have the brains that they were born with any longer.

Was passing through the shadier parts of Norfolk, VA so they're probably used to seeing that. Actually I've seen much worse there myself.

Ouch. Here you can have a car fail it's MOT (yearly vehicle inspection on cars over three years old) if you have a dent in the car that has caused a sharp crease to form that protrudes from the vehicle as it may harm a pedestrian, hell it can even fail if the vehicle has an engine management light come on even if there is nothing wrong with the engine.
On the highway both police and VOSA aka Traffic Enforcement (vehicle inspectorate, they can stop a vehicle but have no powers of arrest other than a regular citizens arrest) can stop and have the vehicle banned for even minor vehicle maintenance offences.

I've heard horrific things about the dreaded MOT. Most states here don't require an inspection at all. Virginia has a lot of visual inspections, I think they take two wheels off to tug and check suspension, measure brakes, does it have an exhaust (we don't do emissions testing). So they're pretty slack. California I've heard they put stickers on your car to signify how many baby polar bears you've murdered if you car fails emissions testing.

that very well could be a likely possibility. I was in Norfolk after all...

Every Gen 1 dodge intrepid I have ever seen has a headlight or blinker hanging out of it
